The story
Ramondin is the world leader in the manufacturing of capsules for wines and spirits, blending tradition and innovation across more than 30 years of expertise. With 800 million capsules produced per year, 4 sites in France, and 2,000 clients, service rate is a critical competitive differentiator. Maintaining and improving on-time delivery is not optional. It is the foundation of everything.
The challenge
Before Oplit, Ramondin operated with Excel files and their ERP. Certain tasks were repetitive and time-consuming, particularly data retrieval and re-entry. The industrial director was spending up to 4 hours per week on load/capacity management alone, and daily client reviews were taking 30 to 45 minutes each. The ERP was heavy and difficult to adapt, and the team lacked the flexibility needed to respond quickly to changing client needs. Human errors from manual data re-entry were frequent, requiring constant verification.
Oplit's approach
Oplit brought flexibility where the ERP was rigid. Data re-entry was eliminated, load/capacity management went from 4 hours per week to 30 minutes. The tool became a genuine daily work instrument within weeks of deployment, even though the full potential had not yet been reached. The empirical approach of the Oplit team, starting from an abstract need and rationalizing it concretely, was particularly valued by Geoffrey Zorzi, Industrial Director at Ramondin.
Daily client reviews, which previously took 30 to 45 minutes, are now immediate. Machine park visibility has improved significantly. Oplit has also become a communication tool between workshops, enabling real-time production tracking. Teams adopted the solution quickly, as it removed repetitive low-value tasks and gave each role more autonomy and strategic depth. Several positions took on a new dimension as a result.
Oplit enabled Ramondin to reconsider their production model entirely. Load centers and production strategy were modified based on the new visualization of production needs that Oplit made possible. The service rate increased by 12 points, reaching 90-92% with a 95% target. The next priority is the full dematerialization of manufacturing orders to further reduce administrative work as production volumes continue to grow.
